"Thank you Ormy that you played with me a lot and a lot"

Today's post in the "Honoring Martha" series comes from Genesis Bushnell, Amie Fallon Bushnell's six-year old daughter. To see the instructions for this series,  click here. (Oh, and "Ormy" is what my son Levi called Grandma when he was little. He still does. Then when Genna came a long, she called Grandma "Ormy" as well.) We seem to love nicknames in our family. :-)  ~Love, Stacie

Dear Ormy,

I remember I could play with you. I remember at lunch I would sit next to you. I remember I would hug you a lot. Ormy you were nice to me and you were very funny. We played with the toy box and played on the swing. Ormy you always remembered me and said I was "that little Brown girl." I want you to know Ormy that you are a GREAT Grandmother and I love you really, really, really much! Thank you Ormy that you played with me a lot and a lot. Thank you for sitting next to me. I hope I see you again and I hope you see Jesus soon.
Love,
Genesis

Thank you Genna for writing this letter! It is very beautiful.

One thing that everyone seems to have loved about Grandma is that she always took the time to play with all of us kids, all through the years. I think this is a wonderful thing to be remembered for. Just like Grandma Harvey. "Let the little children come unto me." :-)

She certainly loved us. If only I could live up to her example...try try again. Genna I am glad you got to know the best Grams ever!
